Liverpool never gave me a chance, says Carroll

QPR v West Ham United, Andy Carroll
Andy Carroll has aired his dissatisfaction with the way he feels he has been treated by Liverpool, revealing that his dearth of prospects at the club prompted him to accept a loan move to Premier League rival West Ham.
As things stand, Carroll remains a Liverpool player, but the 23-year-old disclosed how West Ham manager Sam Allardyce offered him the regular first team football that was not on the cards for him at Anfield.

"I haven’t really had a fair chance at Liverpool," Carroll told ESPN. "I was really told that I should move on to keep playing regular football, and obviously then Sam wanted me here and told me I would be playing regular games. So, for me it was a no-brainer coming here and to play.

"Obviously, I didn’t really get a chance there."

Despite holding the title of Liverpool’s record signing at 35 million pounds, the former Newcastle icon was never able to hold down a regular starting spot on Merseyside, a situation that was exacerbated by the arrival of Brendan Rodgers in the summer.

"A new manager came in and I wasn’t part of his plans," Carroll claimed. "For me to play football, that was my chance to do that. That is why I am here at Upton Park.

"I think I could fit into every system. I believe in what I can do. Obviously [Rodgers] has his beliefs and he didn’t think that. But for me, obviously, it was better to move on instead of waiting for my chance - which he told me might not come."

Carroll also spoke of his happiness at scoring for Roy Hodgson’s England at Euro 2012, and of his determination to use his chance at Upton Park to prove himself as a striker of international pedigree.

"The work I put in over the season, I deserved that goal," he said. "I kept my head a lot when I could have lost it at Liverpool. I got my chance at the Euros and I took it. Coming here, I have got a great chance to start games and score goals, which I haven’t really had many of last season.

"I don’t think I have got a point to prove, that is the wrong way to put it. I know what I can do and the ability I have got. I know what I am capable of. If other people don’t believe it, that is fine. I just get on with it. But at the end of the day, I know what I can do."

Messi is From Another World, says Fabregas

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has hailed his teammate Lionel Messi, after the Argentine struck a scintillating hat trick in the 5-4 victory over Deportivo La Coruna.

The Blaugrana were pegged back after taking a 3-0 lead, with Javier Mascherano earning a red card, though Tito Vilanova's men would hold on in an entertaining match at Riazor.

Fabregas praised the hat trick hero, also insisting that the most important thing was the three points.

"Messi comes from a long trip with the national team and [is] always here. He gives us a lot. Indeed, he understands all. Messi is from another world," the 25-year-old told reporters after the game. "These things [the red card] happen in football. [We] need to analyse whether or not it was a penalty, or a red card. But we have been very good in that little bit of a crazy [game]. The important thing was the three points."

The former Arsenal captain also spoke of his mixed start to the season, but maintains that he has been working hard under Vilanova.

"I have always believed in our chances, I've always been quiet and I worked hard. I've prepared very well and I will keep working. The coach makes the decisions," he said.  "I was very comfortable and when [being replaced by] Xavi, what remains is to sit and clap. His position has made me feel comfortable, the ball was over, [there was] more connection and I have always played in this position since childhood. It favors my game."

Barcelona hosts Scottish side Celtic in the Champions League in midweek.

KimYe On Vaccation

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are taking Rome by storm, without holding back on the public displays of affections. KimYe was snapped sharing a smootch on Thursday outside a  restaurant in Italy. Many speculate this European vacation might be in celebration of Kim's upcoming 32nd birthday on October 21.
This follows a lovey dovey tweet that Kim sent earlier this week, "But my favorite male rapper of all time is Kanye "  after saying "Now Playing- Andrea Bocelli "can't help falling in love with you." He's my favorite male singer of all time!" Stand by your man.
The media-loving pair recently caused some commotion after Kanye apparently went H.A.M. on a photographer who asked Kim about her ex Reggie Bush and his bun in the oven. According to TMZ, a paparazzo asked, "Kim did you know Reggie is here [in Miami] having dinner?" and adding, "Did you wanna go congratulate him on his pregnancy?" Ye tried to grab a camera from the offending photographer (but did not make physical contact with her) while Kim kept a smile on the entire time.

City Denies Barca Duo

Sergio Busquets, Barcelona
Manchester City has denied speculation that it is interested in Barcelona duo Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Busquets, stating that it has not made an offer, and is not planning to either.

Reports had suggested that City had made contact with the Spanish giants about the availability of former Arsenal man Fabregas, and also Busquets, who made his 50th appearance for his national team in the 1-1 draw against France.

However, the English club stated that this is not the case, and it will not be inquiring about the Spanish duo.

A Manchester City statement said: "There's no basis to these claims and the club has neither made nor is it planning to make an offer for these players."

City strengthened its midfield in the summer with the acquisition of Javi Garcia from Benfica, though it did also see Netherlands international Nigel de Jong leave for Milan.

Fabregas left Arsenal for Camp Nou in summer 2011, for an initial fee believed to be in the region of 23.5 million pounds, while Busquets has been at the club his entire career, joining the youth team in 2005.

Suso Signs Long Term Deal

World Football Challenge friendly; Suso, Liverpool v Toronto FC
Liverpool midfielder Suso has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with the club.

The 18-year-old joined the Merseyside outfit from his local side Cadiz in 2010, featuring in the Reds' youth and reserves teams before making his senior debut against Young Boys in the UEFA Europa League in September. The teenager has now played for the first team on four occasions, and indicated that manager Brendan Rodgers' belief in him was a huge factor behind the extension.

"I am really happy," Suso told the club's official website. "Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and this is the right place for me. I am happy Brendan has shown trust in me. I had no questions about signing a new deal and I am really glad to have done so.

"I am comfortable here. I have played some games for the first team and I hope to continue doing that, but I need to work hard every day for that to happen. This is one of the best days of my life."

Rodgers had indicated on Thursday that a deal was near completion, stating that he has been really impressed with the youngster's technique and creativity. The Northern Irishman reiterated his thoughts about the player's abilities, adding that his commitment to the club is great news.

"We are all delighted Suso has committed his long-term future to Liverpool Football club," Rodgers said. "At 18, he has demonstrated outstanding technical qualities but also shown very good temperament to play for such a prestigious club. His commitment is very good news for all our young Academy players and the excellent work taken place by the Academy coaches and staff."

Silva Out For 2 Games

David Silva injured during the match between Spain and France
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has confirmed that influential midfielder David Silva will miss the club's next two matches with a hamstring injury.

Silva was carried off after 12 minutes of Spain's World Cup qualification draw with France on Tuesday and there were initial fears that he could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Mancini has revealed, however, that although Silva will miss the Premier League fixture with West Brom on Saturday, as well as Wednesday's Champions League clash with Ajax, he should be fit in time to face Swansea on October 27.
"We have a lot of injury problems after the international break," Mancini told reporters. "David has a hamstring problem and is not ready for tomorrow."

He added, "We hope that he will be ready for the next Premier League game against Swansea."
The City manager also confirmed that Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell would be missing for his side's trip to the Hawthorns.

"Javi I think will be out for another week maybe, Jack is out too," he said.

Ashley Young Fit To Return

EPL; Ashley Young; Everton v Manchester United
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said that Ashley Young is fit again, while another ailing Red Devil, Chris Smalling, is still in the process of making his comeback.

Young has been out of action with a knee injury that he suffered in September but is now ready to be considered for a first team place against Stoke City, a selection problem that Ferguson is more than happy to have. He has played just 80 minutes all season across all competitions.

"Very few players can cross as well as he can, and his goalscoring ratio is very good," Ferguson told reporters.
The 70-year-old will also be happy with Smalling's progress as he recovers from a broken metatarsal he suffered in the summer. The England defender will bring greatly needed numbers into a thin Manchester United defense that has had to call upon the young and untested Scott Wootton at times during the opening months of the campaign.

More good news that the United manager revealed is that all players came back from international duty unscathed, as it is "always a time when you're a bit concerned, but we've been lucky this time," according to the long-time manager.

T.I Stays Out Of Gucci Mane & Jeezy`s Beef

Gucci Mane, T.I., Young Jeezy
Warring sons of the ATL Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy may be tied up in beef, but T.I. is keeping his hands free. Asked about the ongoing feud and Gucci Mane's implication that he might be somehow involved, T.I. said he knew nothing of the matter and insisted beef is the furthest thing from his mind.

"Sometimes things happen in life and you don't know why," he said in an interview with Hot 107.9. "I'm focused on that sack [of money]. So anything else, I don't even hear it."

Tip, who has been pursuing acting roles and business deals of late, made it clear that he was staying out of the feud and said the only thing on his mind currently is reaching higher levels of financial success.

"I'm trying to get at the same place that Jay [Jay-Z] and Puff [Diddy] at, net worth wise, so that's what I'm focused on. Period," he said.

Drama between Gucci and Jeezy escalated last week when the Snowman called Gucci "retarded" on the radio and Gucci released a diss track called "Truth," on which he alleges that Jeezy is a bad father among other things.

Drake Graduates High School

Aubrey Graham, 25. While his mom was probably not psyched that he bailed on the books as a teenager, the rapper, better known as Drake kind of made it work for him.
Well, Drizzy made it official recently, announcing to his Twitter followers that after leaving Toronto's Forest Hill Collegiate Institute as a teen to take a spot on "Degrassi: The Next Generation," he recently earned his degree with flying colors.
"97% on my final exam," he tweeted on Wednesday. "88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school ... Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!! OVO SOUND."
Drake joined "Degrassi" at age 15 and played paralyzed basketball player James "Jimmy" Brooks for seven seasons, appearing in 138 episodes through 2009, when Jimmy graduated from high school.
In a Complex interview last year, Drake said he took the "Degrassi" job to help out his family during a rough time. "My mother was very sick. We were poor, like broke," he said. "The only money I had coming in was off of Canadian TV, which isn't that much money when you break it down ... A season of Canadian television is under a teacher's salary, I'll tell you that much."
The 25-year-old Young Money star has been vocal in the past about not making the grade, rapping in "Crew Love" that, "I guess we'll never know what Harvard gets us/But seeing my family have it all/Took the place of that desire for diplomas on the wall."

Willow Starts A fashion Blog

Willow Smith
Singer, actress and pint-sized style connoisseur Willow Smith has launched a fashion blog on Tumblr. The social media savvy 11-year-old took to Twitter earlier this month to announce the exciting news, tweeting, “Follow my fashion blog http://coccin-elle.tumblr.com/,” and of course the masses ran.

The page is titled “i’art des chiffons,” which roughly means “the art of the rags,” and consists of mostly pictures of street style shots of models, fashion insiders and fellow style bloggers. Slim trousers, blousy tops, chunky leather accents and a nice selection of flat footwear appear to be her favorite trends and British “It” girl Alexa Chung her favorite muse.

This is not Willow’s first foray into Tumblr, though her second try is more focused and honorable. We're excited to see what’s next. Maybe an eponymous fashion label? It’s befitting to assume so.

Barcelona, campeon de la Copa del Rey
Reigning Copa del Rey champion Barcelona has been paired with Segunda B side Alaves in the Round of 32 in this season's edition of the tournament.

The Catalans beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the final of the competition last season, but they will now have to deal with the 2001 UEFA Cup runners-up first if they are to continue defending their title.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, will also meet a Segunda B side in the form of minnows Alcoyano, and Los Blancos could meet Barcelona in the semifinals of the competition if both teams are to make it to that stage of the.

Elsewhere in the tournament field, Valencia will have to deal with Llagostera, while Atletico Madrid locks horns with Real Jaen, Bilbao meets Eibar, and Malaga faces Cacereno.

The first leg of the Round of 32 is slated to kick off at the end of the month.

Trapped In The Closet Continuation To Premier From November 23rd

Late last year, when R Kelly announced that he would add chapters to his famous ``Trapped In The Closet`` series, which left off at episode 22 in 2007, it was hard to believe, but the new trailer for "Chapter 23" looks pretty promising.
After a five-year hiatus since he dropped the last installation, Kells had a little explaining to do. The newly released trailer finds him perched on a chair in storytelling position, all suited-up and looking pretty comical. He vows that "these next chapters of 'Trapped in the Closet' is gonna be so crazy," and proceeds to get us caught up with his characters since we last saw them
Kelly recently told Time that 20 new chapters of "Trapped in the Closet" will be released November 23 on IFC, and he's still got plenty more in store after that.
In early August he told MTV News that 30 Chaptershad already been written. "I'm so glad to know there are a lot of fans still waiting to find out what the package is, and I'm coming, you guys," he said. "In four weeks, I just did 30 chapters of 'Trapped in the Closet' and I'm proud of it; I'm very excited about it because it took on a life of its own. It took me over."
The best way he could describe the effect that writing new chapters has had on him, was comparing it to walking a very forceful dog. "This is what 'Trapped in the Closet' is doing for me right now, it's kind of pulling me. It has pulled me, and there are a lot of cliff hangers, a lot of different chapters, and other characters that have created themselves in the story. It's very, very off the damn chain."
Look out for those 20 new chapters on Black Friday.

Banned John Terry Won`t Appeal

Chelsea's John Terry
John Terry has announced he will not be contesting the Football Association's decision to ban him for four matches and fine him 220,000 pounds after he insulted Anton Ferdinand in Chelsea`s clash with QPR at Loftus Road last season.

Last month, an independent panel ruled that Terry had directed racist language at Ferdinand in the Premier League match, and the Chelsea captain was given two weeks to issue a response to the verdict.
"I want to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone for the language I used in the game," Terry said in a statement. "Although I'm disappointed with the FA judgment, I accept that the language I used, regardless of the context, is not acceptable on the football field or indeed in any walk of life.

"As I stated in the criminal case, with the benefit of hindsight my language was clearly not an appropriate reaction to the situation for someone in my position. My response was below the level expected by Chelsea Football Club, and by me, and it will not happen again.

"I will continue to do my part in assisting the club to remove all types of discriminatory behavior from football. I am extremely grateful for the consistent support of Chelsea FC, the fans and my family."

The three-man panel judging Terry's case concluded that he was not a racist but was not satisfied by his defense, describing it as "improbable, implausible and contrived." Earlier in the year, the Chelsea defender was cleared by Westminster Magistrates' Court of racially abusing Ferdinand.

Terry, who was first stripped of the England captaincy and then retired from the national set-up over the incident, will now miss the club's Premier League and League Cup matches with Manchester United, as well as Saturday's clash with Tottenham and a game with Swansea City.

Chelsea released a statement in which the club claimed it agreed with Terry's decision to not appeal the FA ruling, while adding that the club would further discipline Terry in a confidential manner.

"Chelsea Football Club believes John Terry has made the correct decision by not appealing against the FA judgment relating to language he used at the QPR match last October. Chelsea also appreciates, and supports, John's full apology for the language he used. The club firmly believes such language is not acceptable and fell below the standards expected of John as a Chelsea player.

"The Board has conducted its own investigation into the matter, and considered the various issues involved. The Board has taken further disciplinary action in addition to the four-match suspension and 220,000 pound fine imposed by the FA. In accordance with our long-standing policy, that disciplinary action will remain confidential."

Drugs To Ban Juninho

Juninho - Vasco da Gama
Juninho Pernambucano, capped 47 times by Brazil, is the most high-profile name facing punishment this week for an alleged drugs offense.

The incident in question involved the player visiting his side's changing room prior to providing a sample to doctors. The World Anti-Doping Code demands that when a player is randomly selected for a drugs test they go directly to the collection room from the playing field.

Juninho of Vasco da Gama, Juan of Santos and Ricardo Berna of Fluminense are all alleged to have breached the rule, with the potential
punishments ranging from a warning to a two-year suspension.

Vasco doctor Albino Pinto has defended Juninho, saying that players need to make time-saving arrangements after games to ensure their clubs are able to make their connecting flights home.

"It's normal [for a player] to pick up their bag [first] to get ahead in time to go," Pinto told Globo. "It was a younger doctor that day," added Pinto, who was present in Campinas for the game against Ponte Preta on September 23, when the incident involving the free-kick specialist took place.

"I found it strange because Juninho apologized and he said it was okay."

The 37-year-old will be judged on Friday along with goalkeeper Berna, while Juan will be the first to be tried as his case is on the agenda of a disciplinary committee due to meet this Thursday.

Cristiano Ronaldo Honored By UEFA

WCQ 2014, Portugal vs Northern Ireland, Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo has been honored by UEFA after racking up 100 games for Portugal

Prior to the 1-1 draw against Northern Ireland in the latest World Cup qualifier, the Portugal captain was awarded a special plaque and cap by UEFA officials.

In his 100 matches, Ronaldo has scored 37 times; his first goal coming in a 2-1 group stage defeat to Greece in Euro 2004.

At 27-years-old, Ronaldo became the third youngest player to achieve the landmark after Germany's Lukas Podolski and Estonia's Kristen Viikmäe.

The Real Madrid star issued a statement on his Facebook page, reflecting on his 100 matches.

"I remember it was on August 20 2003 against Kazakhstan that I first pulled on the Portuguese jersey in a senior international," he remembered. "It was one of the most memorable moments of my life and began a journey that I have been proud to make. I would like to thank everyone who helped me along the way to reaching this milestone. "As the teams were coming onto the pitch last night the Portuguese fans at the stadium unfurled a banner that read "100 games, the best player in the world".
Eleven more international goals will see Ronaldo surpass Pauleta as Portugal's all-time leading goalscorer and he needs 28 more caps to beat the appearance record set by Luis Figo.

Portugal is currently five points adrift of Group F leader Russia in the race for automatic qualification to World Cup 2014.

Prandelli Believes Balotelli Is Maturing

Mario Balotelli - Italy
Italy coach Cesare Prandelli believes that Mario Balotelli is showing signs of maturity as an international forward.

The explosive striker was on target as Italy extended its lead at the top of World Cup qualifying Group B by beating Denmark 3-1.

And his national boss is confident that the Manchester City player can be a huge weapon for Italy and urged the 22-year-old to keep up the good work.

"He has understood what he has to do for Italy," Prandelli told reporters after Italy's triumph over Morten Olsen's side.

"I say that from now on the Balotelli in an Azzurri jersey has to be the one we saw at San Siro against the Danes."

Balotelli has often been criticized for his lack of commitment or temperament, but Prandelli insists that he is not a liability.

"When I talk about Balotelli, I do not like the suggestion he is a gamble, but the moment has certainly come for him to take his share of responsibility in an Italy shirt," he continued.

"I want a national team that is always targeting improvement, even if I’d like to have more time to try out some young players."

Rushwa - Adui Mkubwa Wa Soka La Bongo

Haieleweki!
Rushwa inatawala soka letu na tumekaa kimya, Viongozi wanahongwa, Wachezaji, waamuzi ndo balaa mpaka noma. Kwa nini? Uwajibishwaji uko wapi?
Toa maoni Yako Kuhusu Hili Tukuze Soka letu....

Galatasaray Interested In Dos santos

Andre Santos, Arsenal
Galatasaray chief executive Lutfi Aribogan has disclosed an interest in signing Arsenal left-back Andre Dos Santos

The defender has failed to fully establish himself in the Premier League, and seen his appearances once again limited so far this season by injury and the good early form of Kieran Gibbs.

Santos has also lost his place in the Brazil set up under Mano Menezes, not featuring since the Copa America in 2011, and could be in search of regular first team action in anticipation of World Cup 2014, which will be held in his home country.

"Andre Santos is one of the names [we have] on our list," Aribogan told the Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.

Galatasaray is familiar with Santos from his stint with Super Lig rivals Fenerbahce, where he spent two seasons prior to signing for Arsenal, and it seems that a return to Turkey could perhaps be on the cards for the Brazilian.

However, Aribogan did admit that any possible transfer is, at the moment, a long way off, adding: "We currently have no contact with his club and the player himself."

"World-class" Gareth Bale is in the same league as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, according to his former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.
The north London club have so far held onto the 23-year-old, despite being edged out of this season's Champions League by Chelsea's trophy-winning exploits, but Redknapp thinks that Bale could play for any team on the planet, such is his talent.
"He's an amazing, amazing talent and he's after the Ronaldos and Messis of this world and he's getting better and better," he told BBC Sport. "He's almost unplayable when he's on his game. He is a genuine world-class player.
"There is nobody he couldn't play for. He’d improve any team."
Bale was instrumental in helping Wales beat Scotland 2-1 on Friday night - its first win under boss Chris Coleman - scoring two goals late in the game on home turf to turn Craig Levein's men over.
"With 10 minutes to go, you're looking for somebody who can just do something special and Gareth can do something special," Redknapp said. "He can do everything and could play anywhere. He's the full package.
He added, "He can head it, he can dribble, he can shoot, he's got a great physique, he's an amazing athlete, he can score with both feet - there are no weaknesses in his game. He is already at the top but any team in the world would love to have Gareth Bale playing for them."

Alba Claims Barca Players Don`t Dive

Jordi Alba, Lionel Messi, Barcelona, Real Madrid
Jordi Albahas insisted that Barcelona players do not simulate fouls and only go to ground when inflicted with physical force.

Real Madrid defender Pepe heavily criticized the Blaugrana, and Andres Iniesta in particular, in the wake of last week's 2-2 Clasico draw for their theatrical behavior, but the left back dismissed the notion that his colleagues fall down too easily

"We don't dive. If we fall over it's because we've been kicked," Jordi Alba said in an interview with Movistar.

The Spain international then went on to praise clubmates Lionel Messi, who he sees as the finest footballer in the world, and David Villa.

"[Jose] Mourinho will have his opinion, but right now Leo is the best in the world and maybe ever. Cristiano [Ronaldo] is a good player, but Messi sets the bar," the former Valencia ace added.

"David Villa is in a great state of mind. He'll continue to be important for the team."

Alba also had his say on Barca's performances in La Liga so far this term, and admitted that he is surprised with his side's comfortable lead over Real Madrid in the standings.

"Nobody at Barcelona thought it possible to have an eight point lead over Real Madrid after only playing seven league games," he concluded.

Barcelona resumes league action on Saturday, when it takes on Deportivo La Coruna.
