When Congressmen can spit bars to a Jay Z track, there’s no room for doubt as to how much influence Hip Hop has in our lives, even in the political arena.
In a hilarious exchange between Democrat Alan B. Williams and Republican Speaker of the House Dean Cannon, we learn two very valuable lessons;
1) never underestimate your opponent, even if he is an older white guy and
2) NEVER get caught out there.
In an attempt to make a point to support a Florida Amendment, Williams, who is a younger black man, quotes Jay Z on “99 Problems” in error.
The elder Cannon, who ironically is white and on first glance does not appear to be a Hip Hop fan, very swiftly corrected Williams, which scored points among the otherwise dull observers.
